About us

Rebecca Savich,
President & Inventor of the ABC system

In ‘06’ Rebecca Savich began designing a number of breast comfort devices to be used in massage and medical tables.

So she began the long process of patents, engineers, prototypes and creative sales pitches. “It was tough for me to get the attention, or better yet an appointment with the companies I approached. I didn’t have prior design credits and I certainly didn’t have a degree in any form of medical science or even a massage therapy license.”

Rebecca’s company, Contour Table Systems signed a manufacturing deal with Oakworks, inc. in August ’09’. “Although I have lived in Los Angeles for many years, I am proudly born and raised in Pennsylvania. I love the fact that Oakworks is based in PA as well. For me, it’s like paying homage to my home state. And the fact that they are a family owned business with incredible values made this the right choice for me”.

It has been an amazing journey for Rebecca to get to the signing of the deal. The story to get here is riddled with obstacles, determination and many ups and downs. “I owe a great bit of gratitude to my friends and family who supported me through this. But most of all, I dedicate this project and my success to my mom. Without her I would not have been able to do this”! Sandra K. Savich (1948- 2005). In her honor, Contour Table Systems has set up the ’Sandra K. Savich Foundation’. Contour Table Systems is dedicated to donating proceeds to various charities through her Foundation.

“I get massages often and being a naturally large breasted woman, I couldn’t get comfortable on the tables, and sometimes, the pressure would cause pain and swelling.”

“Body’s Talk, We Listen”

Trees for the Future

We are an agroforestry resource center, working with people to improve livelihoods and restore degraded lands to sustainable productivity through planting beneficial trees.

Planting trees in agroforestry systems provides a myriad of benefits, such as food; forage for animals; sustainable fuel wood and construction materials; increased agricultural yields; improved water infiltration and aquifer recharge; and protection of soils from wind and water erosion. However, planting trees can be difficult when the canopy has disappeared, topsoil has been eroded, and the climate and growing conditions have changed.

Through our network of technicians, volunteers, and community leaders world-wide, our program reaches out and proivdes the knowledge and ability to rehabilitate their environment. Since 1988, Trees for the Future has helped thousands of communities in Central America, Africa, and Asia improve their livelihoods and their environment by planting nearly 65 million trees. We calculate that these trees remove over one and a half million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere each year.

We are also active locally, educating students and communities about global issues, our role in the environment, and energy efficiency.

Trees for the Future

Since its inception over 30 years ago, Oakworks, Inc. has maintained a strong commitment to environmental wellness. Oakworks has been committed to providing safe, durable, comfortable and ergonomic treatment tables and equipment to industries supporting the health and well being of people all over the globe. In an effort to stop global warming and in order to reduce our carbon footprint, Oakworks agreed to plant a tree through Trees for the Future for every table sold. Recognizing that we needed to do more, Oakworks became a Global Cooling Partner, and conducted an audit to determine how many trees we needed to plant to completely offset our carbon footprint. We are now Carbon Neutral and are committed to taking more steps to minimize our impact on the environment.
